The Family Enhancement & Play Therapy Center,
Inc. offers clinical consultation and supervision to play, filial,
and family therapists. Case consultation and supervision is
eclectic in nature, including child-centered and directive play
therapies, filial therapy, and other types of interventions (e.g.,
parenting skills, cognitive-behavioral therapies, case management).
Case consultation is available for a wide range of child/family
problems. Supervisees are encouraged to be active partners
in the process. Individual and group consultation/supervision is
available in a variety of formats. Individual, in person - One-on-one meeting for case consultation or supervision. Individual, video - Supervisee sends case summary and videotape in advance and then discusses it with the supervisor during a prearranged phone call. This can be done by video review prior to the phone call or by simultaneously watching the video while discussing it over the phone. Individual, phone - Supervisee sends case summary and points for discussion in advance and then discusses it with supervisor during a prearranged phone call. Group, in person - Small group of 2-6 people meets and alternately presents cases for discussion. This can be done anywhere from an hour at a time to an entire day, depending upon the group's preferences. Group, video, conference call
- Supervisees send case summaries and videos in advance, watch each
other's videos in advance, and then discuss them alternately with
